Call of Duty: Black Ops-Details Released

Call of Duty: Black Ops

If you anything like the me (and other 5 million people who bought Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2) it's safe to say your pretty excited about the new Call of Duty game announced a couple weeks ago. The first trailer shows huge explosions, Hollywood action, and little details about the actual game. Well we can all relax now as details have finally surfaced. Black Ops takes place during the Cold War in the year 1968. Players can control a team of operatives and travel to different places to stop the spread of Communism around the world. Missions will include flying a SR-71 Blackbird as you watch over a team of troops on the ground and decide where they go to attack. Along with this, we will also be put on ground level for the high paced, adrenaline rush war combat that the Call of Duty franchise is famous for. Russia will be a main country for the game because of it's Communist affiliation during the Cold War. Black Ops also has a new scoped crossbow that players can use to snipe the shit out of enemies from far away. Also it will have a two-four player co-op mode along with the ADDICTING multiplayer online mode. A new cool feature is the ability to switch ammo on the go. For example switching between a "standard arrow tip" to an "explosive arrow tip" on the new crossbow. It's uncertain yet if that will apply to guns or not as well.

Sure it's not much information, but it's better than nothing. Treyarch looks to deli ever a huge game in Black Ops and so far I like what I've heard. The game is set to be released November 9th for Xbox, PS3 and Wii (who'da thought) and we'll learn plenty more about it at E3 and in the coming months.

Hopefully the game is as bad ass as this picture!
