"Sky's" The Limit For This Possible Retro Rebirth

Lets go over the list of games every ones favorite bodyguard with wings has appeared in. Pit (also known as "Kid Icarus") saw his first action in Kid Icarus the game all the way back in 1986 on Nintendo Entertainment System. A few years later Pit returned in Kid Icarus: Of Myths and Monsters in 1991 on the first Game Boy. Pit's latest cameo was in the 2008 Nintendo Wii hit Super Smash Brothers Brawl. Pit's tale is that of a land where God's and man co-existed. Angle Land is broken down into four "worlds," Underworld, Overworld, Skyworld and the Palace in the Sky. These realms was ruled by two Goddessess. Palutena, the Goddess of Light and Medusa, the Goddess of Darkness. Palutena loved the humans and helped them in their day to day liefs. Medusa on the other hand hated them. She turned them to stone and destroyed their land and crops (bitch). Palutena wasn't having this and she banished Medusa into the Underworld and declared herself ruler of the Palace in the Sky.

Our protagonist Pit is Palutenas most loyal servant. He is the captain of her royal bodyguards and her main protector. So as you can see the story of Pit and Angel Land is filled with all the elements to make a thrilling adventure for the Wii. Ever since SSBB a new Kid Icarus game has been one of the biggest rumors in the video game industry. Well why not Nintendo, what do you have to lose? Can you imagine a Kid Icarus game with Zelda (Twilight Princess) controls and gameplay? Give Pit a similar look to what he was in Brawl (maybe mature him up a bit) and replace the world of Hyrule with that of Angel Land and you get a brand new adventure completely unique to other games on the market. Not to mention Nintendo could use a sold title that will bring in some different types of gamers, not just little kids and families.

A new journey for Pit would only make Nintendo money and give Pit his wings back. Saying this, Nintendo still has to do it right. They would have to take the Zelda approach to story telling and make sure a new Kid Icarus game has a sold complain (between 13-20 hours of gameplay). Because without a sufficient online multiplayer community, a game without an AMAZING single player is worthless. Sorry Nintendo but 50 bucks isn't worth playing something that will last me 5 hours (Mario Galaxy *cough cough*). All this being said, a return of Pit would be moving in the right direction for Nintendo. Give him a killer bow that allows you to shoot targets using Wii Motion-Plus. The ability to transform that bow into two small swords. His good "ol faithful" Mirror Shield to fend off enemies, and wings to let him fly around Angel Land. Throw in an epic adventure filled with peril and triumph, and you have the next BIG Nintendo game. Step up to the plate Nintendo and let Pit fly again.
